02 Jun SmartyPal wins 2015 MongoDB Innovation Award in Education
SmartyPal’s core mission is to use the best modern technologies to make learning more fun, rich, and meaningful. One of the technologies that powers SmartyPal is MongoDB, a 21st century database system made for modern applications. This is the same technology used by major websites and mobile apps such as The New York Times, eBay, Craigslist, and BuzzFeed. We love pushing the boundary of what our technology can do for us, and we love using products like MongoDB that do the same.
That’s why we are very honored that MongoDB has selected SmartyPal as the 2015 MongoDB Innovation Award Winner in Education. Last year’s recipient for this award was LinkedIn, and our co-recipients for this year’s award in other categories include Facebook, Expedia, Pebble Watch, and Gap Inc. From MongoDB’s blog:
The annual MongoDB Innovation Awards recognize organizations and individuals that are creating groundbreaking applications. These projects represent the best and most innovative work in the industry over the last year.
Our goal from day one has been to create a groundbreaking learning application and we are excited that our efforts towards this goal are being recognized. Thanks to the team at MongoDB and congratulations to our fellow recipients. We look forward to using MongoDB as we continue to innovate in the space of educational technology.
